Quiet your mind, make space in your place to connect and be creative…
Make time to connect with yourself, your surroundings, and your creative senses to allow you the opportunity to grow spiritually, physically, and emotionally daily. I make it a point to find a place that leaves the distractions behind to quiet my mind to line with my conscious. Your space is your own little oasis which allows you to disconnect from distractions and focus on finding direction for the day. It can be as simple as sitting in the same spot every morning that you go to for peace and quiet. I like to be outdoors, just a step away from the interior of my home where the walls constantly surround me. I grab a cup of coffee, sit on my patio when possible to silence my immediate thoughts and prepare for the day. By doing this first, it allows me to connect consciously in a way that releases any anxiety and clears the air to start fresh for the day. I like to think of it as setting the scene to what I envision for the day, with the intention to eliminate distractions, make a plan with purpose to achieve my goals. This approach leads me to a positive mindset to conquer anything that comes my way. It doesn’t have to be fancy, it just has to be the one place that keeps you grounded in the moment to meditate and bring meaning to your day. I start each morning with a daily devotion spiritually to connect with God and allow myself to be open for guidance. I like using a faith based app for a daily bible study, prayer, and community support with engagement. I believe this is a great way to be obedient in the word, and set my day up successfully. This allows me an opportunity to tune out the trash in my head, redirect my focus, and begin fresh in my thoughts. It is easy to carry anxiety over into the next day if you don’t dump it daily. Do what works for you, do something that reflects a reset, transforms your thoughts and declares a new positive direction for each day.
